The last post
This is normally played when celebrating Anzac or remembrance day. This can also be played in services where they commemorate the people who have participated in the war and honour the people who sacrificed themselves. The last post can also be heard during memorial and funerals for people who have served their country.
Why is this song significant to New Zealand?
The song is significant because to New Zealand because this honours many soldiers who served, sacrificed and died for our country. This is also very important because of the soldiers that are not proper burial and to those soldiers that never been found or not even been found.
This Represent the wars and battles that the world has gone through. Before the last post was just a signified what time of the day it was for the soldier. As time passed by it has been incorporated into military services and ceremonies for the people who have served their country.
