Beatlemania - Social studies

Hello everyone, in social studies we are learning about The Beatles. We are looking through their songs and what is the difference between the 1940s to The Beatles era.

Song title: I want to hold your hand
By: The Beatles

The song/lyrics are about holding a person's hand or someone with who you want to share a short moment and simply hold their hands. The Beatles explained that a small moment (like 'holding your hands') can turn into something big or simply end the moment by letting go of their hands. holding someone's hand it's no need to feel that you need to really get to know the person before you do but close enough that you share a real moment with a complete stranger.

Lyrics:
Oh yeah, I'll tell you somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I say that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
Now, let me hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
And when I touch you
I feel happy inside
It's such a feelin' that my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide
Yeah, you got that somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I say that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
And when I touch you
I feel happy inside
It's such a feelin' that my love
I can't hide
I can't hide
I can't hide
Yeah, you got that somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I feel that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand

What's the difference between the 1940s songs?
The 1940's songs are more into Jazz. Jazz is listened to the most in 1940s because of the wars that happened and that cause gloominess around the world. When music like The Beatles come out, most people were in shock and very surprising.
