Knowing alot about LADY GAGA!

Hey guys so today I'm learning about famous musicians that we have to search, so we have to pick one or more musicians and we have to search or watch how come they become a famous and great musician. So the musician I picked was Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga real name is Stefani Joanne Angeline Germanotta. She was born in March 1986 and the City she was born was New York City.  When she wasn't Lady Gaga yet, she gets bullied a lot in school. After school, she goes to a boutique where her mum or siblings live next door. She makes friends with the people who worked there. Lady Gaga found her passion when she goes to the boutique shopping, when she shops there she would always sing and one of the guys heard her singing and knew it was a talent and it was a handy connection, the guy who heard Stafani (which is Lady Gaga) his uncle was the legendary vocal coach Don Lawrence. Stefani got Don Lawrence number and give him a call. Lawrence took her and teach her. Everyday Stefani would always practice and Lady Gaga was on the way to fame. Today Lawrence still helps her and he would sometimes be at the biggest performance of Lady Gaga's career, Lawrence thought Lady Gaga to sing the Star-Spangled Banner Lady, Gaga's famous song was Poker Face and it was a good song and you guys might know the song is.     

Kick Long Ball

Hey guys, so this week in our PE hurumanu we have been focusing on teamwork. This helped us to encourage people who don't really like teamwork and don't know how to work with there teams. Working with other peoples makes you learn teamwork this makes you learn a lot about your team.
The game we played is Kick long ball and Bench ball, If you don't know what's kick long ball, it's a game that has teams and you have to work with them so you can win the game with your team. after we played the game we have to write the thing we did to help our teams. You have to pick 1-4 this stuff helps you what you helped to your team and if you are a leader or something. we played other stuff like bench ball this time we have to play with a small team. Playing these games really helps me a lot because we have to work in teams so we know how to work in team works.

Writing MY own SONG!

Hello guys so at hurumanu we made a song. My song contains a lot of nonsense and I think everyone would relate to it because a lot of us like foods and you guys know there is a lot of simple people especially me would kinda relate to this song. So guys here is my song but I will warn you this song really doesn't make no sense and please I don't want no harm anyone.

The song inspired me to not be ashamed about yourself you can eat all you want and no one can stop you except money. the metaphor and the simile here are difficult to explain because it's all about food and writing this song so it's hard to explain. The only metaphor I know is "Without eating you I'm lost and finding myself" you might ask how is that a metaphor, well  I can find myself so that's why I picked this metaphor. Writing the song was really hard because I can't think of any ideas to write and I think lots of writers would understand because they put a lot of effort into their songs and I know how hard to write a song.

Captain Cook and learning about Prior Knowledge.

Hey guys, so before I tell what you on what work we are doing about captain cook, however, I have to show you first what kind of work we are working on right now with the story of Captain Cook. So we have to connect the story about "Making Connection to Prior Knowlege" so prior knowledge has 3 different kinds. 1st there is text to self, this is when you read a book about something and this reminds you of something like happened to you. For example: " Jenna's dog ripped her dress now she can't go to the ball, this part reminds me of my ripped dress that broke because of the wooden chair"

The 2nd one is text to world, where you connect two things and it's like you compared them to each other, for example: " This boy wants to be a president when he grows up and build a big wall, this part makes me think of Donald Trump who wants to build his own big wall"

3rd is text to text, this means you have to compare a story to what you are reading. For example: "This book reminds me of Harry Potter because this book has lots of magical things everywhere in the story and this reminds me of it" 

So now since I finished the prior knowledge we are going back at the story of Captain Cook.

First when we didn't read the story of captain cook we have to know what we know about him, so my teacher let us go to our reading groups and write down what we already know about captain cook, we shared lots of ideas and we  put it at the planning sheet so we won't forget what we wrote down. after that, we have to read our book and write down some new things what we know about Captain Cook. The activity we did was really fun because we have to learn new thing about what we still don't know and now I learned a lot.     

Salu salu

Kumusta, hello guys so on June 12 to 14 we did our Salu Salu and we dance and watch the dances and watch the other Filipinos do their performance. The dances we performed was really nice but I didn't video any of our dances but I have some photo.

the first day was June 10 we try to teach other people about our language like we teach them about our greetings and we give them prizes that Tita/Mrs. Jorce brings.

June 11 the 2nd day, we played our cultural games, I can't really tell the names we played because I forgot what they are called. 

June 12 which is the 3rd day, we perform our dances at interval so the teachers and the students can review what will we do on Friday.

June 13 we watch the people who are singing at salu salu, we had fun looking and hearing their performance.

   June 14 which is the last practice and it's our time to show our full dance and other people performance. We perform at 6pm, before we perform we have to do the national anthem. after that, we have to get ready doing are performance. When I saw other performance that they show at the stage I was surprised but other than that I had so much fun.

So last Thursday we searched about an old song to 1900s to 2010, some of the songs are good and we already heard before so it was kinda easy and hard so we kinda know what we are doing, but then when we started the 1900s my buddy and I got confused and try to ask for help and here is the slide we made. 


                          

Self assessment?!

Hi, guys so I'm going to self asses "The Badge of Honour" this will to learn like finishing your work in time.

Did you complete all the task last week?  Yes, I did and I think I did a really good job. 

What did you do well? I did well finishing the work in time.

What activity challenge you the most? the activity I'm really challenged is to draw the characters because I'm really bad at drawing arms and legs.

What I do about it? I keep working hard and keep challenging myself.

What activity was easiest for me? I think the easiest is where I have to see in the story because I already know what is the fight looks like so I think that was easy.  

What can I extend myself next time? I should draw better and explain better so people would understand.
